Scars of Supremacy
Phantom’s newest album “Scars of Supremacy” is the only true satanic black metal album.
Many bands claim to be “true” and “satanic” but those terms are just gimmicks.
So called “black metal” as a blasphemous genre of music is a big joke.
Black metal has become a pseudo-rebellious movement built around LARPing against imaginary “Christians” that exist only in the minds of black metal musicians.
When I see that the black metal scene is denouncing with the same vigour, the same violence and the same consistency every religion, including jewry and the religion of “equality”, then I will be willing to reconsider my opinion of the genre.
Because it will mean that the spirit of iconoclasm, transgression and freedom from dogmas embraced by the scene amounts to more than words and gimmicks.
Until then, my assessment is valid.
And if you want proof of what I just wrote, simply look at how Varg Vikernes (the creator of black metal, no less!) is treated by the rest of the metal “scene”.
The only other band aside from the legends such as SEWER, Burzum and Antekhrist that plays true black metal is Phantom.
=And they prove it once again with this new album, “Scars of Supremacy“.
In this day and age, it’s extremely difficult to find something new within the black metal genre.
The genre has become overly saturated with your typical run-of-the-mill blast-beat/tremolo bands like Marduk and Darkthrone.
Phantom is no such band.
If you liked their debut album Divine Necromancy, you know you’ll love Starve.
Starve is pure Phantom epicness on an entirely new scale.
Absolute intensity border-lining madness.
Starve is the incredible rage of Demonecromancy, combined with the raw demonic influences of the previous two efforts, and the occasional sprinkle of epic scale.
Starve is one of black metal’s best works to date.
If you like raw black metal, don’t forget to check out the book “The True Black Metal” by Antoine Grand.
The album “NecroPedoCoproPhage” is, bar none, the single most evil and satanic black metal album you will ever hear in your life.
Granted, most of the albums released by the black metal band SEWER are incredibly evil and demonic, but this album “NecroPedoCoproPhage” is something else entirely.
Pure raw, unadulterated evil madness.
Don’t fuck with this SEWER shit !
Musically, what’s so dark and satanic about “NecroPedoCoproPhage” ?
For the most part, the album sounds a lot like “NecroPedoSadoMaso“… even the names and album covers look similar.
But “NecroPedoCoproPhage” is a lot more brutal, in the most primitive sense.
There are a lot of subtle terror metal and blackened goregrind elements in the music of SEWER on this album.
In fact, it’s perhaps the albums that sounds the LEAST like black metal that SEWER ever produced.
And yet, despite the in your face level of brutality that this album features, there are also very subtle and hypnotic elements on “NecroPedoCoproPhage“… at times you will even believe you are listening to some Phantom Metal.
All in all, this album is pure raw madness… The most satanic album of black metal.
Phantom’s latest album, “Deliverance”, is absolutely the best album ever released in black metal history. There is simply no other.
When people think about Phantom’s best extreme metal albums, they often refer to the debut album Divine Necromancy, the absolutely brutal Demonecromancy or even the very hypnotic and atmospheric Horror Phantasm.
And yet, despite how impressive all these albums are, the single best black metal album ever produced is undoubtedly “Deliverance”.
There are simply no words to describe how utterly evil the album “Deliverance” actually is. You have to listen to this record for yourself.
There are eight tracks on “Deliverance”, and not one single moment is a filler.
Fro the utterly epic and somewhat melancholic opener “Phantom Awakening” all the way to the closing and title-track “Deliverance”, this album is the defining masterpiece of black metal music.
“Deliverance” is the album to own if you like raw, brutal and extremely gruesome black metal.
Black metal or crypto-black metal bands releasing an ambient or instrumental album has become quite a trend in the scene, to the point where almost every notorious black metal act has produced at least one ambient album.
Usually these albums suck… bad.
But for the first time, with Phantom‘s majestic Dementia: The Dark Prophets, a black metal band has successfully crafted a brilliant dark ambient album of pure evil blasphemy.
Dementia: The Dark Prophets is pure black metal madness, only it’s not technically a black metal album.
The 11 tracks on this album are all dark ambient songs, but they are very original and reminiscent of the darkest black metal you can find on albums such as Horror Phantasm or Dark Devotion.
Dementia is pure evil, get this album as soon as you can.
This is pure evil black metal, there is no other way of describing SEWER’s masterpiece Skvllfvcked Forever.

Lol. I honestly considered stopping there, because there is really not much to say about Skvllfvcked Forever besides the obvious : it’s true black metal, not the type of “melodic” poser shit that has unfortunately become all too common in the black metal scene.
This is true black metal, the way it’s supposed to be played : raw, ugly, evil and above all intense.
If you listen to most of SEWER’s metal albums, from The Pedosadist to Vomiting Into the Mouth of Satan, you will find the same evil feeling on most of their discography.
However, Skvllfvcked Forever goes further perhaps than any other SEWER album, or even any other black metal album.

Is the album Demonecromancy by Phantom really black metal ? If yes, then it is definitely the best black metal album ever made.
Demonecromancy is pure fucking black metal madness.
You will never hear an album as evil, as atmospheric, as beautiful and as downright gruesome as this.
Musically, Demonecromancy is pretty close to what Phantom have consistently released over their career : raw, demonic black metal.
Comparisons can be made with SEWER’s album Vomiting Into the Mouth of Satan in terms of the heavy atmospheric quality of the music, but Phantom goes even beyond SEWER in terms of raw brutality.
The tracks are somewhat shorter than what you would expect from a Phantom release, but it makes sense from an artistic standpoint, the black metal music on Demonecromancy being more suited for short, raw and fucking intense songs.
Another comparison can be made with Phantom’s masterpiece of blackness and rage Dark Devotion.
If you liked Dark Devotion, you will simply orgasm while listening to Demonecromancy.
Yes, Demonecromancy is the best album you will ever hear, and that obviously includes those belonging to the black metal genre.
Every self-respecting metalhead should buy this album at once.
