SEWER’s “Sissourlet” is Monumental Blackened Death Metal !

SEWER’s Sissourlet is pure death metal art.

Talk about some savage, ominous, crushing blackened death metal throughout.

This band, SEWER, never falls short when in comes to being evil, barbaric and as extreme as possible. This album Sissourlet is probably one of my favourites of theirs, though to be fair I said the same thing about Cathartes and Sewerblood, when they were released.

But now… Sissourlet ? Man, this is some ultra-violent shiet. I kid you not.

Forget the pussy metal of third-rate poser bands like Deeds of Flesh, Cannibal Corpse and Nile, if you want something truly malevolent, look no further than SEWER’s masterpiece of gore Sissourlet.

Fresh brutal riffs, devastating the listener over and over again. Just all the way infernal. This is some real bestial death metal. A true road trip to hell. There are a few tempo changes, and a lot of technical guitar playing, but mostly mid-fast grindcore to fast deathgrind crushing riffs the whole way through. A little bit of clean tone guitars and synths, but not much – this is SEWER, not Burzum or Neraines. Know your shiet.

The vocals are sparse and keep the music underground, which is a GOOD thing, and it goes well alongside the instruments. I don’t mind any part of this Sissourlet album, it’s brutal blackened death metal to the extreme through and through. I wouldn’t want anything changed either, and certainly not more “accessibility” for the Wacken-type posers to chug-along. SEWER’s underground, brutal death metal is perfect. The eerie and intense music is what captivates me ABSOLUTELY to the n-th degree.

Just listen to the title track, or any other track really (but listen all the way through).

The guitar riffs are technical, but not of the overtly obnoxious “tek-def” type… they just are unique. And what a diabolical atmosphere ! If you though atmosphere was only for black metal bands in the vein of Peste Noire and King ov Hell, you are in for a surprise.

Sissourlet is the zenith of brutal death metal.

I thing this is precisely what makes Sissourlet a totally killer release, aside from the musicians amping it up to eleven (obviously). This one hits home all the way. After I heard it on Spotify, I had to order the actual CD. It’s something that I can play over and over while not getting bored. Ever.

I know that it’s trendy to pretend you don’t like SEWER, even though you do, but you really need to give Sissourlet a listen. Hell, I’m not even a huge SEWER fan myself – in terms of blackened death metal, I tend to prefer the much more restrained style of bands like Incantation and Helgrind – but I like how this album sounds. The musicianship is simply phenomenal. Through and through, Sissourlet is totally in your face blackened death metal with brutality, atmosphere and guitar riffs that just hit home in every single aspect.

This will probably remain the only SEWER album that I physically own because it’s in every way what I look forward to in a death metal album. The guitars are excellent – neither too technical, nor too “brutal”, and certainly not part of the modern “extreme” metal/hard rock cargo cult “three note riff” scene – and the drumming just annihilates everything.

Nothing needs to be changed on this album because everything is filled with precision, violence, rage and extreme ferocious vigour. Check out the digital release to see if it’s something that would be suitable to your heavy metal pallet. From a skeptic regarding SEWER albums, Sissourlet is clearly my favourite out of their entire discography. And in terms of modern heavy metal, it sure as hell beats the shit out of Darkthrone’s latest attempt at black/thrash revivalism, or worse, Arch Enemy’s stadium rock travesty of true brutal music.

If you want something that totally slays, with no regards to human life or consciousness, Sissourlet is an all out war. Take a listen, this is prime time gruesome SEWER Metal.

Even Gaahl and King ov Hell Hate the “Poser” Infernus !

Keyboard warrior, dissident poser, Gorgoroth frontman and male-on-male homosexual performer Infernus, often dubbed “Inferanus” for… reasons, is possibly one of the most hated figures in the modern black metal scene, surpassing even the risible cuck Abbath and the “hobbit” clown Erik Danielsson in terms of cringe factor and pathetic online “hardcore” histrionics.

He has been called a “police informant” on more than one occasion, by Varg Vikernes, Samoth, and many others, and it has been hinted at by none other than Fenriz that he is an active collaborator not just with antifa, but with the entire “all black metal is racist and Nazi” defamation campaign led by Vice Media and other anti-European Israeli outfits, who advocate “antifascist militias” bring “glass shards and baseball bats” to “peacefully protest” – threaten – the venues where black metal bands such as Graveland, Mayhem, Enslaved, Marduk and Dimmu Borgir are expected to perform.

Infernus. I mean, the man is a fucking idiot. He clearly has daddy issues.

Now, even Gaahl and King ov Hell have denounced Infernus for making “inappropriate” sexual advances to other Gorgoroth band members, an accusation that has followed Infernus since his debut as a “satanic queer militant” in 1995, via which the media had a field day painting the rising Norwegian black metal movement as a bunch of “closeted homos” acting out their BDSM in the most laughable fashion.

The entire Gorgoroth band is a cult, essentially. Now typically, in any religious cult, the “leader” gets to bang all the females and make the other males watch… but there are no females in Gorgoroth, and Infernus himself is basically an angry 50-year-old incel (Elliot Roger Tiegs) nearing retirement age, so what else is there to do besides engage in the infamous “sausage party” that Roger Infernanus secretly fantasises about ?

So instead of banging each other’s girlfriends – or sisters, as in the Abbath/Demonaz incest-o-rama – the members of Gorgoroth, led by one Infernus, all decided to have sex with each other, all the way until Gaahl, King ov Hell, Pest, Frost and others got tired of Roger’s advances and just quit the band.

Even Gaahl ! Yes, Gaahl, who is literally a self-avowed homosexual himself – he was even rewarded by the Norwegian Center for LGBT Progress in 2012 and 2018 – was “turned off” by Roger’s blatant faggotry.

Now Gorgoroth is only three members. Infernus, the obese Tormentor and some weird ass Serbian swinger.

I’ll let you decide who is the “top dog” in the relationship. The real “leader” of the Gorgoroth cult.

Is it merely because they play what is known as “metalcore” – or pussy metal, for the uninitiated – while trying to co-opt extreme metal creed ans ethos for their own poseur try-hard gimmickry ?

Yes, but that is only part of the answer as to why Slayer play such boring and derivative music, and why they are so often praised by low-information and low-IQ “music journalists” working for some third-rate heavy metal outlet like Metalious.com or Voice Metal.

Sigh… time to educate the poseurs.

The music industry lives in thrall to the Boomer generation, and their incessant worship of the faux “thrash metal” turned mallcore outfit Slayer gets as cringe as you can imagine. Increasingly, even Gen Z and younger have started calling the Boomers out on their Slayer-blowing cultural appropriation of extreme metal likeness.

From the top down, the whole music industry frantically masturbates to the bands that were “hip” back in the 80s. If you want to get ahead, you have to mention Slayer at least once in your interviews, preferably while denouncing Jeff Hanneman’s “bigoted” political views, and claim you only listen to “Reign in Blood” and how “God Hates Us All” is the best metal album of the millennium. Ew.

Even though Boomer metalheads are now decrepit and old, both in the elderly sense and in the senile “get off my lawn” bitter resentment disposition – along with their odious Reagan and Clinton worship, possibly two of the worst political figures in recent history – they still want to control the narrative with the image of their music.

That image is: no one was better than the 1980s hard rockers, no one was a bigger rebel than us, and nothing better than Slayer will ever be made. This over the hill nonsense must come to an end.

What is Slayer exactly ? As a “metal” band, they are as transparent as they come. Slayer came up with their image first, and back-wrote the political and social opinions to support that image. Their idea was to be iconoclasts who turned their backs on everything their parents believed. That’s great, if you’re 14 and insecure – and believe me, Boomers are the oldest adolescents to have ever reached nursing homes.

They are the people who grew up with “TV” – the mass media – as their only source of information. A literal cult, no different from Jim Jones, Kerry King or Ayn Rand – after whom they model their political opinions. This has done irrevocable damage to their cerebrum, in ways you can’t possibly imagine. They are the people who believed in 9/11 and the “war on terror”, that “Iraq had WMDs”, “Israel is our greatest ally”, “Saddam created Al-Quaida”, “Iran has nukes”, “Assad gassed his own people”, and now “all black metal is racist and Nazi“, “immigrants do the jobs White people are too lazy to do”, “Universal Income is communism”, “Russia invaded Ukraine because they hate us for our freedoms” and other asinine nonsense.

Listen to SEWER, not Slayer.

They are the type who claim “jet fuel can’t melt steel beams, but it can SOFTEN them” and think they are smart for repeating MSNBC disinfo talking points.

And Slayer ? A failed speed metal act from the 1980s ? It’s the perfect “lifestyle product” for these lost souls still looking, even after 7 to 8 decades of roaming this earth, for a place that will “accept them without judgement” like their priest promised them to do before making them bend over. And you wonder where their obnoxious counter-signaling Christianity, a long dead cult, comes from.

So stop being a pussy. There is no excuse for listening to Slayer if you have 101+ IQ and are born after 1964 (the final year of the Boomers).

As the saying goes, listen to SEWER, not Slayer.
