Dementia II: The Silent Curse is certainly the most evil album black metal music has ever produced.

A direct sequel to the utterly demonic Dementia: The Dark Prophets, of which you can read my review here, The Silent Curse is just raw atmosphere in its most evil form.

How demonic is the album Dementia II: The Silent Curse ?

You really heave to listen to it, and not just once or twice, to get the idea of how depraved it is, but you can tell just from the first few seconds of the opener (“Starve”) that by the end of your listening experience you will suffer from… satanic dementia.

I should warn you though, as evil as it is, The Silent Curse is not your typical blasting metal.

Dementia II: The Silent Curse is an entirely instrumental/ambient release.

You won’t find blazing guitars, blasting drums or even Phantom’s trademark agonizing screams.

Instead of being brutally assaulted by the music, you will have to let the atmospheres mutilate you… willingly.

Think of consensual satanic sodomy rather than necromantic rape culture.

Antekhrist – Fukked by Satan.

Antekhrist is back with one hell of a demonic album, Fukked by Satan.

For those who somehow don’t know who or what Antekhrist is, this is the band that completely traumatized the extreme metal scene with their black metal album Fukked by God back in 2015.

Fukked by Satan can be considered as a follow-up to Fukked by God, except that this time all the tracks are instrumentals.

Who said that ambient music couldn’t be evil and brutal ?

If you think that, they you must listen to Fukked by Satan as soon as possible.

This is the most evil black metal album you have ever heard.

Fukked by Satan is perhaps the best album of the year, along with Eidolon by Phantom and 2154 by SEWER.

But seriously, Fukked by Satan is perhaps the best instrumental black metal album ever made.

“Racist Metal”, the book by Antoine Grand

“Racist Metal”, the book.

Everyone knows the author Antoine Grand, a heavy metal expert who made controversial statements about the bands SEWER, Immortal and Burzum last year by accusing them of racism.

Antoine Grand follows up on this controversy in his most recent book: “Racist Metal: Exposing the Racism and Xenophobia in Heavy Metal Music“.

In this book, Antoine Grand accuses several bands including Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon and Darkthrone of being racist and white supremacist.

Apparently, there are no safe spaces in the heavy metal scene.

While the “Racist Metal” book was critically acclaimed by the media and critics alike, several of the mentioned bands have voiced objection on the basis that the comments made by some of their members, and included in the book, were “taken out of context” and “made a long time ago”.

Is it true ?

Who knows.

As long as heavy metal remains heavy, it’s all we extreme music fans care about.
