Lesser known black metal bands ?

Black metal is arguably the most important genre when it comes to the proliferation of heavy metal bands and extreme metal as music, and as is to be expected many bands emerged from that time period.

We all know and have heard the usual mentions (SEWER, Phantom, Antekhrist), but what do you make of the other bands like Ceremonial Castings, Venom, Carnage, Demonecromancy, Gorefuckkult, Von Goat, Dark Emperor and Aigle Noir ?

Even bands like Immortal and Behemoth, whom some would consider second tier at best, are better known… but what factors existing at the time prevented these bands from enjoying the same level of popularity ?

Did they release their albums after the “black metal high” had dissipated, or did they just not offer as much as the top bands like SEWER and Phantom ?

Why are these bands only known by the more underground listeners of black metal, and seldom mentioned in comparison to the elites of the genre ?

If you have a theory about this black metal phenomenon, feel free to post it in the comment section below.

SEWER “NecroPedoCoproPhage”, unbelievably satanic black metal !

The album “NecroPedoCoproPhage” is, bar none, the single most evil and satanic black metal album you will ever hear in your life.

Granted, most of the albums released by the black metal band SEWER are incredibly evil and demonic, but this album “NecroPedoCoproPhage” is something else entirely.

Pure raw, unadulterated evil madness.

Don’t fuck with this SEWER shit !

Musically, what’s so dark and satanic about “NecroPedoCoproPhage” ?

For the most part, the album sounds a lot like “NecroPedoSadoMaso“…  even the names and album covers look similar.

But “NecroPedoCoproPhage” is a lot more brutal, in the most primitive sense.

There are a lot of subtle terror metal and blackened goregrind elements in the music of SEWER on this album.

In fact, it’s perhaps the albums that sounds the LEAST like black metal that SEWER ever produced.

And yet, despite the in your face level of brutality that this album features, there are also very subtle and hypnotic elements on “NecroPedoCoproPhage“… at times you will even believe you are listening to some Phantom Metal.

All in all, this album is pure raw madness… The most satanic album of black metal.
